What We Believe

We are an independent body of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible.

Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant (accurate) Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; three persons, yet one God.

Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-2; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2

We believe that all people are created in the image of God.

Genesis 1:26

We believe that all people sin which separates them from God and consequently, they all need salvation.

Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

We believe that God made the way for all people to have eternal life (salvation) through His son Jesus Christ. We further believe that the divinity of Jesus Christ is the fundamental truth of Christianity (our faith) and that Jesus is the only way for anyone to be with God in Heaven.

John 3:16; John 14:6

In response to God’s gift of grace to us:

We put our faith (trust) in Jesus Christ.

We repent (turn away from) our sin and go toward God.

We confess Jesus’ name before other people.

We are baptized (immersed) into Christ.

Sanctifies followers of Jesus (grows us in likeness to Jesus).

Convicts us of sin.

Guides us into all truth.

Gives us spiritual gifts.

Presence and activity in the believer’s life guarantees our salvation.

The Holy Spirit:
We believe that, in salvation, followers of Jesus are indwelled by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that we have been charged by Jesus Christ with a Great Commission to carry the Good News of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.

We believe in open Communion and make it available to all believers on a weekly basis.

We believe in the unity of believers based on the authority of Christ and God’s Holy Scriptures.

We believe that Jesus will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
