Our Values

We rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal truth from God's Word - not a teacher. Spiritual growth takes place when studying God's Word becomes a private discipline.

The Bible is for everyone.

We include everyone.

Every member is a missionary.

We encourage the rapid release of ordinary disciples into the world.

Spiritual growth happens in the community.

Christianity is best lived out in the context of relationships.

The Great Commission is global in scale.

So must our efforts as a church.

Family matters.

Family is one of the foundational institutions God uses to accomplish His mission.

The next generation is worth our sacrifice.

Every generation is significant but we will surrender our time, money, and preferences for children and students.

OUR STORY

We want you to know that Ridge Christian is all about “Helping Others Follow Jesus.” Back in 1979, when 13 families first got together in a local elementary school, our desire was to bring Jesus to the Broken Arrow/Tulsa community and beyond.

As our church grew, God continued to give us opportunities, not only to purchase land (1983) and build additional buildings (2003), but to start new churches (2010) and to send missionaries here locally and across the world. The mission that existed in the hearts of those believers 45 years ago is still alive in our church today.

Most recently God has challenged us to step forward, embrace a new look, and work toward the top of the mountain - the Ridge - that He has called us to. We believe the journey is worth it, and the pathway to that Ridge is most beneficial when we walk it together. We love that our church is full of different generations, and people from diverse backgrounds and we want you to join us on this journey to the Ridge, and see what God has in store for you.
